Noah Segsy Dies. 22-Year-Old Artist Drowned in Pool in Cyprus

Noah Segsy, real name Riccardo Staudt, a 22-year-old German internet creator, has died. He drowned in the swimming pool of an apartment complex in the Famagusta district on August 24th. Cypriot media reported the young German's death at the time but did not reveal his identity.

Only now have foreign portals reported that the deceased was Riccardo Staudt, known online by the pseudonym Noah Segsy. His Instagram profile had over 200,000 followers and he gained popularity primarily as a creator of adult content.

Noah Segsy drowned in a swimming pool in Paralimni

The tragedy occurred on Monday, August 24. At approximately 9:20 p.m., emergency services received a report of an unconscious man pulled from the swimming pool of an apartment complex in the Famagusta district.

The 22-year-old was taken by ambulance to the emergency department of Famagusta General Hospital. The doctor on duty pronounced him dead.

An autopsy performed the next day determined the cause of death to be drowning. Police said at the time that they were also awaiting laboratory test results.

The case was taken up by officers from the Paralimni police station.

Cypriot media did not report his name.

The incident was reported by Sigmalive, Philenews, and other Cypriot websites. Initial reports identified the deceased only as a 22-year-old German citizen.

His name and information about his online activities were not published, so the message was not linked to Noah Segsy at the time.

It was not until September that German and English-language media revealed that the man pulled from the pool was Riccardo Staudt.

Who was Riccardo Staudt?

Riccardo Staudt was a German internet creator who worked under the pseudonym Noah Segsy. He published on social media and platforms offering paid adult content.

According to German media, his Instagram profile was followed by over 200,000 people. After his death, a note commemorating the creator appeared in the account's description, and condolences began to be posted under earlier posts.

Foreign portals also report that Staudt's ties to Cyprus extend beyond tourism. In 2023, he reportedly registered his own company on the island with an address in Paralimni.

Cyprus is popular with OnlyFans creators

Riccardo Staudt's connection to the island is not an isolated incident. Cyprus has become a popular destination for those earning money from online platforms offering paid content.

In a ranking published in 2025, Cyprus ranked first in the world in terms of the number of female OnlyFans creators per female. According to data provided by the Supercreator platform, for every 100,000 women, there were approximately 3850 creators, i.e. 3.85 percent

By comparison, the United States, which ranked second, had approximately 2,970 female creators per 100,000 women, according to the same ranking. The United Kingdom and Canada followed.

However, these are not official government data or statistics published by OnlyFans. The list was prepared by a company that offers services to creators on the platform, so the figures provided should be considered estimates.

The results also don't mean that all the people included are Cypriots. Many foreign creatives, entrepreneurs, and online workers live on the island.

Why do they choose Cyprus?

The island's popularity among online creators may be due to a combination of factors. Cyprus offers a warm climate, attractive locations, and a robust rental market for villas, apartments, and other properties used for filming and photography.

Content can be created year-round, taking advantage of beaches, pools, and characteristic Mediterranean architecture. The conditions chosen by online businesses and the ability to target audiences in multiple countries also play a role.

Some creators live on the island permanently, while others come for shorter stays and film and record here. The line between vacation and professional activity can be difficult to draw in such cases.

Riccardo Staudt was also said to have business ties to Cyprus. According to foreign media, in 2023 he founded a company with an address in Paralimni – the same region where the tragedy occurred two years later.

The family has launched a fundraiser

Following the 22-year-old's death, an online fundraiser was launched. The funds will help the family cover the costs of transporting the body to Germany and arranging a funeral.

By the time the information was published by foreign media, over 20,000 euros had been collected.

Numerous farewells and condolences have poured in on social media. Staudt's Instagram account has been set to private, and his OnlyFans profile is no longer accessible.

The circumstances of the tragedy have not been clarified.

An autopsy confirmed that the immediate cause of Riccardo Staudt's death was drowning. However, this does not explain why the young man found himself in a situation from which he was unable to escape.

There has been no public disclosure of what happened immediately before the incident, or whether other people were present at the pool at the time. There is also no official information on the results of the announced laboratory tests.
