Fuel prices require logging into the state-run website. You can check them on CyprNews without an account.

Fuel prices at the state observatory can now only be checked after logging in via CY Login. This requirement was introduced on September 30th. Previously, information about stations and their prices was available without creating an account.

You can still check fuel prices on CyprNews without registration or login. Our website allows you to view regional breakdowns, check station locations, and compare available prices before filling up.

Fuel prices at the state service require an account

The Consumer Protection Service confirmed the change in a statement published on October 2. As of Wednesday, September 30, access to the Retail Fuel Price Observatory is through the state-run CY Login service.

For those with an account, this means an extra step before their data is displayed. Other users must first complete registration.

This is a significant change in the use of the tool for comparing station offers. Previously, drivers could visit the website, select the fuel and region, and then check prices without logging in to the administration services.

Still no registration on CyprNews

Our fuel prices page doesn't require creating an account or using CY Login. The lists include 95 octane petrol, 98 octane petrol, and diesel, and are broken down by region: Paphos, Limassol, Larnaca, Nicosia, and Famagusta.

At the presented stations, you can check the address and use navigation. This makes it easier to assess whether a better offer is located on the way or requires an additional trip.

Check prices without logging in

Compare available gasoline and diesel prices in your region. Check the station address and schedule a fill-up—without creating an account.

CHECK FUEL PRICES

Before leaving, it's worth checking the update date. Prices can change, so you should also check the final price per liter at the station before filling up.

What does the state observatory offer?

The Observatory publishes information provided by gas stations. It allows you to search by fuel type, district, and specific location.

In addition to gasoline and diesel prices, information on heating fuel and kerosene is also available. The system displays the average, lowest, and highest prices for a given product.

This comparison can help reduce the cost of filling up. A difference of five cents per liter translates to €2.50 when purchasing 50 liters. However, you also need to consider the distance to the cheaper station—an extra trip can eat into some of the savings.

Why was CY Login introduced?

According to the Consumer Protection Service, mandatory login is part of the digital transformation of government services. The office emphasizes the security of user identification and a common method of accessing electronic government services.

CY Login allows you to use multiple government services with a single account. Registered users do not need to create a separate profile specifically for the observatory.

However, the announcement doesn't explain in detail why user identification has become necessary for viewing prices at gas stations. For drivers who don't use other government services, this means registering solely to compare offers.

Compare prices before filling up

The office's periodic bulletins still allow you to track average fuel prices and compare them with other European Union countries. However, they do not replace the list of individual stations, which helps you choose where to fill up.

You can also access the fuel page on CyprNews from your phone, without prior registration. It's worth bookmarking it and checking the available list before filling up, whether on your daily commute or when traveling by rental car.
