IBAN Change at Tax For All. Online Only From October 5th
From October 5, 2026, changing your IBAN on Tax For All will be the only way to register or correct your bank account number with the Cyprus Tax Department. Taxpayers will need to log in to the TFA portal using their CY Login details and submit the required documents electronically.
Applications submitted via email or otherwise outside of the specified procedure will not be accepted. This change is important for, among others, Poles filing taxes in the Republic of Cyprus, who are expecting a tax refund, or who wish to update their official payment account.
Changing IBAN in Tax For All requires CY Login
The new procedure applies to both the first submission of an account number and the change of a previously provided IBAN.
Taxpayers should log in to Tax For All using their CY Login details. They must then create the appropriate application and attach two documents:
- electronically completed T.D. 2008 form,
- IBAN confirmation certificate issued by the bank.
The account number must belong to the person or entity entitled to receive the payment. Therefore, do not provide the account of a family member, business partner, or other person if the tax refund is formally due to another taxpayer.
In practice, this means that the name and surname or name of the entity shown on the bank certificate should correspond to the beneficiary's details in the tax register.
How to report or change IBAN?
Changing your IBAN with Tax For All will be completely electronic. Before starting the process, you must prepare the form and a document from your bank.
How to report an account number?
To enter, use your CY Login access details.
Prepare the T.D. 2008 form electronically.
A certificate confirming the IBAN and account owner is required.
Please attach both documents to your application submitted by Tax For All.
Applications submitted by email will be rejected.
The most significant change concerns the method of submitting documents. As of October 5th, submissions sent by regular email will no longer be accepted.
The Tax Department has announced that applications submitted without prior logging in via CY Login will be rejected. Therefore, sending a scan of the form and bank statement to the previously known office address is not sufficient.
If you don't have CY Login yet or haven't linked your account to Tax For All, please do so before submitting your bill. Login issues can be reported to TFA support by calling 17700.
Forms and instructions for changing IBAN
The Tax Department has provided forms and separate instructions for changing your IBAN in Tax For All. All documents are available on the official government website.

Only for entities whose identity cannot be objectively verified in CY Login.
Exception only for certain entities
A special procedure is provided for entities that, for objective reasons, cannot obtain CY Login because their identity cannot be verified in this system.
In this case, the T.D. 2008-S form should be used. The document must be completed, signed and sent together with the IBAN certificate via Tax For All without logging in using CY Login.
This exception does not apply to individuals or companies who simply have not yet created a CY Login account. Failure to register will not be grounds for using the simplified procedure.
Why is a correct IBAN important?
The account stored in the system is used by the Tax Department to pay refunds. An invalid number, a closed account, or a discrepancy between the account holder and the beneficiary can delay the transfer of funds.
Those expecting a tax refund should check their Tax For All information beforehand. After October 5th, any changes will require a new procedure and a bank-issued document.
