Road closures in Limassol mean disruptions for drivers on Sunday, October 11. The coastal section from the Old Port waterfront to the Thalassokoritso cafe will be closed from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. due to the 28th International Marios Agathangelou Run.
Participants in the 10-kilometer and 5-kilometer races will start from the square near the skatepark on the Molos promenade, and their routes will include 28 October Avenue. The children's 1-kilometer race will begin at the Yellow Café. Drivers planning to travel through the seaside center on Sunday should take into account a four-hour road closure.

Three distances and different starting points
The competition will be centered on the square next to the skatepark in Molos. Participants in both adult races will start from there. The finish line for all three distances will also be located at the same location.
The first start is scheduled for 8:45 a.m. Ten minutes later, participants in the individual 5-kilometer run and company teams will set off. The children's race will start at 10:00 a.m.

Start times and race routes
10km - 8:45
Start at the skatepark. Run left onto 28 October Avenue and turn around at Salamis Tours. Then run to Thalassokoritso, turn around, and return to Salamis Tours. The next section leads back to Thalassokoritso. After the final turn, competitors will return via the southbound lane to the finish line at the skatepark.
5km - 8:55
Start at the skatepark. Run right onto 28 Paździnika Avenue, run to the Thalassokoritso cafe, and turn around. Return along the southbound lane to the finish line at the skatepark, at the second gate.
Children: 1 km - 10:00
Start at the Yellow Café in Molos. Run 500 meters along the promenade, then turn back toward the square by the skatepark. All children must cross the finish line at the second gate.

Official timing will be provided for the 10-kilometer and 5-kilometer distances. The children's race is open to participants up to 15 years of age. Organizers have announced T-shirts, bib numbers, and medals for registered participants.
Lemesio Run
The International Marios Agathangelou Run is part of the Lemesia municipal sports program. The event honors the athlete and teacher, and its format allows both experienced athletes and recreational runners to participate.
This year's edition also has a social purpose. Participation in the competition supports the Panos Evripidou Foundation, which helps premature babies and their families.
The race isn't the only event planned in the city this weekend. Oktoberfest will also take place in Limassol from October 9th to 11th.
