This event is perfect for families with children and those who want to experience the flavors and traditions of mountainous Cyprus.
Apple Festival in Kyperound
Apples are one of the symbols of Kyperounda. The town's mountainous location favors fruit growing, and the festival allows local producers to showcase their fruits and the products made from them.
At the stands, you'll be able to discover different varieties of apples, chat with the farmers, and sample local produce. In addition to fresh fruit, there will be preserves, sweets, and other products related to the region's cuisine.
The event also provides an opportunity to buy directly from producers. The festival promotes both long-established family businesses and smaller manufacturers just developing their businesses.

SEE TOURS IN POLISHFrom a local gathering to a two-day celebration
The history of the Apple Festival began in 2002. Initially, it was a small gathering of residents combined with a dance party.
In 2012, the event moved to Kyperounda's central square and became a one-day festival open to the public. Growing interest led to the event being extended to two days in 2014.
Today, the festival is one of the town's most important cultural and culinary events. Residents, volunteers, producers, entrepreneurs, and local organizations are involved in its preparation.
The festival aims to support the local economy and encourage visitors to explore the mountainous regions of Cyprus. While the apple remains the main character, the event also showcases the broader agricultural and culinary traditions of the area.
Where is Kyperounda?
The town is located in the Troodos Mountains. The festival will take place in the central square. The map shows the center of Kyperounda — once there, follow the event and parking signs.
Before you leave, it's worth checking the forecast and packing a warm layer of clothing, especially if you plan to stay until the evening. During a popular festival, it's also a good idea to leave yourself plenty of time to get there and find a parking space.
