How much does a wedding in Cyprus cost? The bill grows with the guest list.

A wedding in Cyprus can cost several thousand, or even tens of thousands of euros for a large reception. The cost depends primarily on the number of guests, the location, and the range of services ordered.

At select hotels, the wedding dinner alone can cost between €55 and €140 per person, with the beverage package costing another €25 to €45. Additional expenses, such as a photographer, music, and decorations, should be factored into the budget.

For many couples, a wedding is one of the largest family celebrations. As more guests are added to the guest list, food and beverage expenses increase, primarily. The venue, ceremony décor, photos, and flowers also add to the cost.

There's no single price for a Cypriot wedding. An intimate dinner for loved ones and a large reception at a five-star hotel will require entirely different budgets.

Wedding in Cyprus: how much does the reception cost?

Cyprus Wedding Packages has prepared an indicative price list for 2026, based on offers from selected hotels and partner service providers. It primarily covers four- and five-star properties.

According to the list, the wedding dinner costs 55–140 euros per person, and the drinks package is next 25–45 euroThis adds up to between 80 and 185 euros per guest.

With such rates, it is easy to calculate how the number of invited people affects the bill.

This is the cost of the food and beverages only, not the entire wedding. Depending on the offer, additional fees may apply for the venue, photographer, music, decorations, or ceremony.

The ranges provided are not an average for the entire island. Couples hosting a reception at a tavern, wedding hall, or other venue may receive a different offer.

Photographer, music and flowers

In the same comparison, the approximate cost of a full-day photography service is 1400–2500 euro. A range is given for DJ or live music 500–2500 euro, and for flowers exceeding the package - 300–1500 euro.

The price range depends on, among other things, the time spent working, the number of photographers, and the scope of the service. It's worth checking whether the photographer's offer covers the entire day, how many photos will be provided, and whether video is billed separately.

There can also be significant differences in the pricing of decorations. The couple described by the Cyprus Mail received a floral offer for 5,000 eurosAfter the floral arch was abandoned, the amount dropped to €4,000.

This is an example of one quote, not the typical cost of flowers at every wedding. However, it illustrates how a single decorative element can impact the budget.

Why are flowers so expensive?

As Maria Dianellou, owner of a florist's company, explained to the Cyprus Mail, many of the cut flowers used for celebrations are imported from abroad. Therefore, the cost is influenced by factors such as transportation and proper storage.

The price of the decoration also includes the work: preparing the compositions, transporting them to the site, assembly, and often subsequent dismantling.

If flowers are an important part of the arrangement, it's worth communicating to the florist from the outset what budget the couple wants to allocate. Simpler arrangements or using some of the decorations for both the ceremony and reception can help reduce costs.

Large Cypriot Wedding and Family Guest List

The number of invitations isn't always determined solely by the bride and groom. For some families, a wedding is an opportunity to meet extended relatives, friends of their parents, and people whose celebrations they themselves have previously attended.

One interviewee for the Cyprus Mail pointed out that parents may view their children's weddings as an opportunity to reciprocate previous invitations. Establishing a shorter list requires a conversation and setting boundaries.

Other couples opt for an intimate reception with their closest family. However, there is no single model for a Cypriot wedding—the size of the celebration depends on family, customs, and financial resources.

How to compare wedding offers?

Before paying a deposit, it's worth requesting a quote detailing the services. The price per person may include the menu only or drinks and service as well. Similarly, a ceremony package may include basic flowers, while more elaborate decorations require an additional fee.

It is good to establish first of all:

  • how many people are included in the offer and how changes in the number of guests are accounted for;
  • whether the price includes food, drinks, service and venue rental;
  • how many hours the photographer, DJ or band works;
  • which decorations are included in the package;
  • whether there are additional fees for transport, ceremony setting or extending the reception.

Those planning a celebration with guests from Poland should also factor in flights, accommodations, and any local transportation. It's worth determining in advance which of these costs will be covered by the couple and which by the participants themselves.

The best starting point is to determine the number of guests and budget before choosing a venue. This will make it easier to compare offers and decide which elements of the reception are most important to the couple.
