How much does luggage cost on Ryanair?
The price is not fixed: it depends on, among other things, the route, date, selected option and when you purchase additional luggage.
1
Check the price in the reservation
The current amount appears when purchasing a ticket or in the "My Reservations" section.
2
Buy in advance
Adding luggage online is usually more advantageous than dealing with the issue at the airport.
3
Measure and weigh your suitcase
Luggage that does not meet the limits may be rejected at the gate or directed to the hold for a fee.
Why don't we give one price? Ryanair applies prices based on the specific booking. The most accurate price is the one displayed after logging into your booking before payment.
Child's luggage and baby equipment
An infant travelling on an adult's lap does not have its own standard cabin baggage allowance. However, Ryanair does allow a baby bag to be carried on board. 5 kg and 45 × 35 × 20 cmYou can also carry two pieces of baby equipment free of charge per child, in accordance with the carrier's rules.
Ryanair Baggage FAQs
Is the small backpack free?
Yes, if its dimensions do not exceed 40 × 30 × 20 cm and it fits under the seat in front of the passenger.
Is a 10 kg suitcase included in the ticket price?
The basic allowance covers only small personal baggage. A 10kg suitcase measuring 55 x 40 x 20cm is carried in the cabin as part of Priority & 2 Cabin Bags, or can be purchased as a 10kg checked bag.
What happens if the luggage is too big?
If your bag does not fit within the baggage allowance, it may be rejected at the gate or, where possible, directed to the hold for an additional fee.
Can I combine checked baggage allowances?
Don't assume that one heavier suitcase can replace multiple purchased items. Pack within the allowance assigned to each suitcase and the terms of your booking.
